What to Expect From GMC in 2023

The new year is in full swing, and although 2023 may have just started, we are already looking ahead to the 2024 model year. Even so, the 2023 model year isn’t over yet, and between 2023 and 2024 releases from GMC, there is a lot to look forward to over the next several months.

If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, you’ll absolutely want to check out what you can expect from GMC this year. Whether you’re interested in a new pickup or an SUV, you can’t go wrong with one of these new GMC models.

Unreleased 2023 GMC Models

As mentioned, there are some models that have yet to be released for the 2023 model year. We will, however, include the newest generation of the GMC Canyon on this list. The 2023 model just began production in January, so if you don’t see it in our inventory yet, stay tuned for a test drive in the near future.

GMC also has a half-model year update planned for the GMC Sierra AT4X. The 2023.5 Sierra pickup is expected early this year, so it won’t be long now. Anyone who ordered the AEV edition of the model can expect it to arrive soon as well.

What We Know About GMC’s 2024 Model Year

Looking further ahead in the year, we can start thinking about 2024 model-year vehicles coming from GMC. The first model of note is the Hummer EV. This electric version of a modern classic is expected to begin 2024 model year production this spring, but if you can’t wait, 2023 models are still being produced and are available.

We also have to mention the 2024 Sierra HD. The model has undergone a refresh that includes a new cockpit and powertrain updates. It is expected to begin production this month, February 2023.

Later on in the year, we expect to see the release of the 2024 Sierra HD AT4X, 2024 Acadia and the 2024 Yukon. These three models are still somewhat under wraps, so an exact production date is hard to pinpoint, but we should have more details sometime in the second half of the year, with a hope that production is on track for late 2024.
